Ross has been an advocate for children from the time he was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Iowa in 1968.  Although his principal area of practice was representing financial institutions, he has worked on hundreds of adoptions, both domestic and foreign.   

Estate Planning is another specialty he developed over his thirty-eight years of being an attorney.  Wills, Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care and for Financial Matters are all part of the Estate Planning he has done for thousands of clients.    

The formation of business entities (Corporations, Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies), drafting Contracts and Business Agreements are areas of the law with which Ross is experienced.
 
Since moving from Iowa to New Mexico and founding his law practice in Santa Fe in 2004, he has had the opportunity to work with many same-sex couples in providing life planning counsel and the drafting of Life Alliance Agreements providing for the ownership of property and the sharing of living expenses.
